SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Apparently our office in Mississauga emailed with the message that due to the "extreme weather conditions" they are closing the office 2 hours early.... So we checked the weather in Toronto and this is what we discovered...

Current Conditions
-1 °C
Observed at: Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport
Date: 5:28 PM EST Friday 1 February 2008
Condition: Light Snow
Pressure: 100.9 kPa
Tendency: falling
Visibility: 1 km

Humidity: 90 %
Wind: ENE 18 km

Windchill -6°C

Calgary

Current Conditions

-11 °C
Observed at:
Calgary Int'l Airport
Date: 3:00 PM MST Friday 1 February 2008
Condition: Sunny

Pressure: 101.2 kPa
Tendency: falling
Visibility: 32 km
Windchill -14°C

May I remind you all that earlier this week our temperature with windchill was approaching -50°C and yet we were all diligently working away at our offices... wow, this is so reminiscent of the time they called the Military in when it snowed...

Un - freakin -believable... and people wonder why I have a problem with Toronto...

to be fair (the extreme weather was actually a storm. snow and freezing rain. the roads were pretty bad here...and we weren't even getting the freezing rain. even in o-town a lot of the government offices were telling people to work at home or to leave early rather than risk the drive.so while it wasn't cold, it sure was a mess.

I know that there was a storm in the forecast but when I left my office at 5pm Calgary time it hadn't hit T.O yet.
But, really I can't ever miss up an opportunity to make fun of Toronto, it is far too much fun...
